Tenuta Monte Zunta
Piedirosso Doc (Cru)
85% Piedirosso and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, the nose reveals intense sensations of underwood, sweet spices, fruit in spirits, tobacco, cocoa and a suffused mineral and light balsamic sensation. In the mouth is full and of great personality, dense and rich, with thick and elegant tannins and pleasingly crisp and balanced.
Wine to be served with all dishes based on game as wild boars, deers, chamois and roes. Excellent also with stews, braised and grilled beef, aged cheese.

TENUTA MONTE ZUNTA CRU

- Harvest: manual, in mid-October, in 20kg crates
- Vinification and aging: Destemming and crushing of the bunches, followed by fermentation with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature (24°C) in refrigerated stainless steel silos. During fermentation with the skins, pumping over is frequent to promote the transmission of aromas, tannins and structure from the skins to the must. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is transferred to French oak barriques for about 9 months and then the aging continues in terracotta amphorae for another 9 months. The use of sulfur dioxide is minimal and regulated until bottling.
